The warmth of the brass M22-34 pattern matches well with the 900 North Michigan Shops in Chicago.

The luxury retail complex known as 900 North Michigan Shops—located at the north end of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile—has unveiled a number of upgrades including a new entry portal. Following a significant renovation, this elegant space is outfitted with Banker Wire’s M22-34 architectural woven wire mesh pattern in brass.

Conceived by New York City-based design firm AvroKO, the new entrance draws customers into the space. Rich brass finishes, such as Banker Wire’s woven wire mesh, adorn the outer sides of the escalators and complement the sleek furnishings. The M22-34 wire mesh features an 84.9% open ratio, which creates a unique layered or textured look when placed over the escalator siding. The placement of the wire mesh also serves as a decorative design element for the central seating area, drawing inspiration from Coco Chanel’s avant garde approach to luxury and fashion.

Ultimately, the wire mesh adds a visually sophisticated touch to the retail space. The sturdy and decorative wire mesh pattern seamlessly blends with the luxe material palette found throughout the building.
