Banker Wire 3DZ-151 for home cabinet infill panel

The interiors at this Lincoln Park residence exude refined sophistication and timeless design. The experience begins at the illuminated foyer cabinet, where tasteful lighting sets the tone for a warm welcome. Adding an extra layer of elegance, the design team at Inspired Interiors incorporated Banker Wire's 3DZ-151 architectural wire mesh in the kitchen, foyer, and wet bar as cabinet inserts and partitions. This mesh's meticulous weaving provides increased rigidity through a balanced arrangement of the wires in the front and back.

In the home's foyer, a beautifully illuminated cabinet warmly welcomes guests while providing a functional design element for the homeowners. The cabinet doors feature Banker Wire's 3DZ-151 mesh, providing a breathable element for a coat and shoe closet at the home's entrance. Luminated by LED lighting, the cabinet offers a dim glow for the living room while providing a functional wardrobe with permeable coverings.

"In my work, design and architecture is a Rubix cube of getting the right balance visual, technical, and functional," says Emily Mackie, Founder and Principal at Inspired Interiors. "Banker Wire's architectural mesh is like a wild card for the design. You can plug and play where you need it to achieve that."

In the heart of the home, the industrial-type kitchen harmoniously blends sleek gray and black elements with rich wood textures, achieving a perfect fusion of modern and rustic aesthetics. Banker Wire's bare bronze wire mesh covers a rolling partition created by the design team to break apart the space while seamlessly tying in metals into the overall design story. This functional yet visually striking space embodies a convergence of culinary creativity and design innovation. The division door serves as the centerpiece of the kitchen, creating different environments through the use of the rolling partition. The partition divides the two spaces—a workspace and a coffee bar, concealing either area when unused. Mackie explains that The wire mesh is a perfect material for the door, as its lightweight nature makes it easy to operate. The blend of metals, black, and white that begins in the kitchen continues in the Butler's Pantry, including a wet bar with cabinets featuring the same 3DZ-151 architectural wire mesh to provide chic hidden storage. The use of the wire mesh and its bronze metal finish offers a sense of continuity in the color story of the design and elevated elegance throughout the space.

Characterized by its attractive open-weave, Banker Wire's 3DZ-151 architectural wire mesh transitions from near-opacity when viewed straight-on to translucency at an angle, ensuring privacy—ideal for concealing in cabinets and partitions. Within the 3DZ family of woven wire mesh, this unique openness enhances the aesthetic appeal of diverse projects. The mesh's opacity dynamically shifts with the viewer's perspective, presenting a customizable flair that seamlessly merges beauty with functionality.

The design weaves a harmonious blend of chic, contemporary elements, and warm, inviting touches. Through design storytelling and the use of Banker Wire's architectural wire mesh, the basis of technicality, functionality, and visual design are woven together in the fabric of this home.
