Flexible Mesh Systems

The term “Flexible” is used to categorize products of wire mesh in which the construction method creates a loose intersection where the wires cross over one another. This flexible weave is constructed of a spiral shaped wire that links together with a rod that passes through the spiral shape’s opening. Together, these links combine to create a belt.  Rigid in the direction of the spiral, a belt’s length dimension is defined once tension is applied, allowing the spiral and rod to nest. Without tension, the spiral mesh length can be collapsed into a tight bundle.  Therefore, this flexible situation calls for a system that can control these characteristics in an effective way for the built environment.

Banker offers these tension fastening systems for flexible mesh:

  • Round Thread
  • Flat Thread
  • Wrap
  • Loop

For these products, Banker partners with Spanish company Codina Architectural to offer flexible mesh systems. Banker provides unparalleled industry experience, project management, and knowledge of mesh properties. Codina Architectural provides flexible mesh manufacturing and engineering expertise. This results in the perfect aesthetic, on budget, seamlessly installed…every time.

Round Thread

Providing a means of tensioning the mesh, the Round Thread flexible mesh mounting system uses a rod that is inserted inside the spirals, as well as equally spaced eyebolts at both the top and bottom horizontal edges of the mesh. The eyebolts are connected to the rod that is captured within the spiral and provides the means for applying load. All materials are made from T316 stainless steel. A powder coat finish can be applied upon request. The Round Thread flexible mesh mounting system is applicable to the following mesh patterns: Delta, Dune, Drift, Flow, Ripple, and Ridge.

Flat Thread

Providing a means of tensioning the mesh, the Flat Thread flexible mesh mounting system uses a flat bar that is inserted inside the spirals at both the top and bottom horizontal edges of the mesh. Holes are provided at equidistant spacing along the bar where a clevis and pin connect and provide the load. All materials are made from T316 stainless steel. A powder coat finish can be applied upon request. The Flat Thread flexible mesh mounting system is applicable to the following mesh patterns: Delta, Dune, Drift, Flow, Ripple, and Ridge.

Wrap

The Wrap flexible mesh mounting system wraps the horizontal ends of the fine spiral mesh to form a sleeve where a tube can be inserted across the width of the mesh. From this tube, threaded sockets are equally spaced and provide the load. All materials are made from T316 stainless steel. A powder coat finish can be applied upon request. The Wrap flexible mesh mounting system is applicable to the following mesh patterns: Ripple and Drift.

Loop

The Loop flexible mesh mounting system can be used when the design calls for the flexible mesh to hang freely or drape. This system allows you to hang the mesh at 90 degrees to make flat or rounded space dividing options in your space. Alternating rods within the mesh are extended and welded form a loop. All materials are made from T316 stainless steel. This loop can then facilitate a connection point like a round bar to hang from. The Loop flexible mesh mounting system is applicable to the following mesh patterns: Drift, and Ripple.
