Ace Porter, Omni San Diego Hotel’s signature bar at the Ballpark, creates a striking first impression with its innovative use of Banker wire mesh as a central design element. Overlooking Petco Park, the bar’s architectural style mirrors the dynamic spirit of Southern California while seamlessly weaving a timeless connection to America’s pastime.

The rounded bar serves as the heart of Ace Porter, where the environment includes stadium-inspired lighting and a wrap-around bottle display behind decorative bronze wire mesh panels. The Banker Wire L-441 woven wire mesh not only provides structural intrigue but delivers an industrial-chic elegance, drawing the eye to intricate textures that catch and play with ambient light throughout the day. The result is a dining experience that feels both warm and contemporary, perfectly at home amid the hotel’s baseball-inspired décor.

One of the standout architectural features is the impressive archway behind the bar, clad in the same L-441 wire mesh that frames the bottle display and creates a focal point for the lounge area. Fabricators from Desposito Designs cut and formed this bare bronze arch to play a crucial role in guiding and enhancing the flow of the room. Its open, curved form naturally draws the gaze toward the center of the bar, creating a sense of movement that effortlessly connects different seating areas and walkways.
