More than 150 years old, the ornate exterior of Mansion Hill Inn Bed and Breakfast in Madison, Wisconsin, again radiates stately elegance, thanks to the wrought iron railing restoration efforts.

This wire mesh Restoration Project was a real treat for Banker Wire. We had the opportunity to work along side Wolfgang Schweizer of German Blacksmith, LLC in true Old World craftsman style.

Originally built in 1857, this fully restored mansion serves as a Bed & Breakfast in Madison, Wisconsin.

Banker Wire was able to duplicate the slightly irregular decorative crimping pattern used on the original ornamental ironwork. Much as it was done in 1857, the crimped wires were assembled by hand one wire at a time.

The wire mesh is attached to the restored radiant water heating cabinetry and painted to match.

This large turn of the century Victorian home went for true authenticity during the restoration efforts. Banker Wire was asked to duplicate the original flat wire mesh that covered the radiant water heat cabinets. Banker was able to match the existing wire mesh crimps exactly in keeping with 1800's tooling design.

Restoration: 1925 Miller Race Car Restoration

Banker Wire was able to restore authenticity to the original car car from a picture and a few pieces of wire.

Authenticity matters when it comes to vintage automobile restoration. Restoration specialist Jerry Weeks looked to Banker Wire to make sure this 1925 Indianapolis race car's wire mesh grille passed inspection. With an old photograph and a couple of pieces of wire, Banker was able to duplicate the crimp profile and wire spacing contributing to the blue ribbon success at Pebble Beach.
