The Banker Wire woven wire mesh adds the skin of texture to the plasma cut steel openings atop the art statues located at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, NC.

Carved Indiana limestone, stainless steel, bronze, LED fixtures, each column approximately 2'x2'x22'. Commissioned by the Arts and Science Council. Four limestone and steel columns carved with imagery drawn from the textile traditions of people from the area in Pre-Columbian times to the present. Nighttime illumination with color-changing LED fixtures. Lighting design by LightSHOW of Pasadena, CA.

Five layers of Banker Wire M13Z-179 architectural wire mesh are powder coated different colors and then slightly staggered and stacked within a frame. As visitors move along the river walk, they view the changing colors resulting from their shifting perspective of the mesh.

Stand-offs are used to mount the woven wire mesh panels from the wall. Different length barrels allow the mesh to be layered, creating depth in this woven art piece.

A great example of what happens when the creative process begins to flow. The wire mesh wall art was designed completely by a homeowner that knew exactly what he wanted.

Layering the wire mesh brings an interesting textural effect not duplicated by other materials. The bright, 4-wire pattern M44-7 wire mesh in stainless steel at the front mixes with the L-175 LIC colorized stainless steel lock crimp pattern in the back. The LIC process is a unique method of adding perceived colorization to the stainless steel creating a one-of-a-kind effect. The texture and form of the crimped woven wire mesh plays a large role in how the range of colors created through this process are seen.

The copper and stainless of the S-16 and SZ-4 architectural wire mesh coordinate in color as well as texture for this residential art piece. Each wire mesh panel is cut and formed to overlap each other to create a seamless fit.
