Banker Wire M13Z-7 architectural wire mesh is used throughout the Baltimore Washington International airport as railing infill panels. The M13Z-7 stainless steel wire mesh has a high percent open area yet it is a strong weave because of the larger diameter stainless wires. The contrasting crimp styles in the warp and fill direction gives this wire mesh pattern a directional design characteristic. This rooftop fountain is surrounded by Banker Wire SZ-3 architectural wire mesh and is framed in a simple flat bar frame. The SZ-3 woven wire pattern is very thin, strong and dense. The wire mesh fabric is easily coaxed into taking the radius of the circular platform. The pictures clearly show the actual performance of the SZ-3 as well as what effects the 27% open area actually has on visibility through the wire mesh screen.

Based on a traditional European Brunswick style wire mesh weave, the Banker Wire M22-27 is a scaled up version from the original to better suit this railing application.

The opportunity to manufacture this wire mesh material came just two weeks prior to this popular Austin mall opening. Within thirty-six hours, Banker Wire had produced tooling and submitted samples for approval. The material was then woven to the fabricator's exact size and shape to help speed fabrication and installation.

The M13Z-145 "Rigid Cable" wire mesh is framed using the Banker Wire Versatile Spine infill panel system that is surrounded by a slit tube frame. Each floor of the building enjoys a very large balcony in which observers can comfortably walk up to and lean on this solid built framed mesh.

Operating on the 4th floor, the 161 First Street building is a four story commercial building located in Milwaukee's Fifth Ward where Vetter Denk Architects enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Receiving a Merit award from the Wisconsin chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the building fits well amongst its urban surroundings.

The location overlooks beautiful Lake Mendota and is used for outdoor receptions as well as post conference social gatherings. What a View!

Using Banker Wire SZ-4 architectural wire mesh, Steven Dona Architecture chose to provide their client with a first class solution to the common problem of giving a sense of protection from a deck railing while not blocking the view. Glass railing might have been the obvious solution, but in the Architect's point of view, glass panels lack mass when viewed at a distance, losing the overall design detail. Massive stainless steel railing was custom built around the Copper/Stainless mixed wire mesh providing security and detail even when viewed from the shoreline.

Another benefit of using woven wire mesh versus glass for infill panels - one that can be appreciated by both homeowner and birds - is that the woven mesh can be seen by flying birds while glass can be invisible, causing collisions.

ONE at The North End is the first phase of a Milwaukee downtown neighborhood development designed by Engberg Anderson Architects. The wire mesh balconies for this mixed-use building were integrated into the design as a tailored component with high percent open areas. The L-62 stainless wire mesh was bent at 90 degrees to form the corners, creating a smooth, seamless look. The rigid construction of Banker Wire’s lock crimp wire mesh makes this design possible.

Overlooking the Milwaukee River, the $15.5 million building features 83 residential units. The 97,470 sq.ft. of residential space includes a club room, with attached media room, that opens onto 15,000 sq.ft. of green roof, including a portion dedicated to private walk-out resident patios. An on-site fitness room, attached to the lobby, gives the feel of a hip, urban hotel. The building has 174 heated, enclosed parking spaces and 12,700 sq.ft. of ground floor retail. Phase II is underway.
