Mounting Systems
Banker Wire manufactures a vast array of woven and welded wire mesh because the creativity of those who design is limitless. The way in which the wire mesh interfaces with the design structure should be equally as creative. Providing a strong perimeter and connection point can be as elaborate or as simple as the overall design itself. Versatile Spine provides a stylish alternative to traditional framing strategies.
Versatile Spine provides a stylish alternative to traditional framing strategies. The Versatile Spine technology has many variations and can be customized to suit attachment and aesthetic considerations. Key to the system is a laser cut center spine which mates perfectly with the fabric's perimeter. Two laser cut covers are attached to either side of the center spine and this multi-layered system creates a tremendously strong interface that can be incorporated into multiple mounting strategies. Thin and strong, the Versatile Spine is less than 1/2" overall thick and can be as small as 1" wide. Designed to work with traditional glass mounting strategies, the Spine has been a favorite among railing infill panels for both Commercial and Residential projects.

A traditional and fundamental structural shape, angle iron is available in many different profiles.
Properly executed, angle iron can be very effective in framing wire mesh. A traditional fundamental structural shape, angle iron is available in many different profiles that can be used and combined together to create a strong and suitable interface method. Angle Iron construction can be very basic or it can be very complex. A typical simple construction will weld the fabric to the inside leg of the angle while providing countersunk holes for attachment on the other. A flat fascia can be applied to cover welds or can be used as a friction mount sending hardware through the mesh and angle itself. Creating a framework of angle, then bending the wire mesh fabric around the outside allows for a more "frameless" approach. Call Banker to discuss the right configuration for your next project.
